Welcome to Re-Imagine – TomorrowTodayGlobal’s quarterly publication.
The new normal – that ”normal’ that has fast become the 2020 cliche, the normal that so many people are looking for, perhaps even craving after all that 2020 has thrown our way, yet also the ‘new normal’ that we perhaps all know we’re not really going back to, and dare I say, shouldn’t want to go back to.
Of course there will be some things that do return to ‘normal’ – travel and going out to dinner with friends again, family celebrations without masks on are all things we look forward to, but simply going back to ‘normal’ or ‘the new normal’ shouldn’t be what’s dominating our conversation when it comes to looking ahead.
Rather, it’s time to Re-imagine rather than simply rebuild. It’s time to reflect on just how well the world has adapted and to make sure we move forward with that momentum rather than falling back to old ways. It’s using the knowledge that companies who previously wouldn’t allow their people to work from home, ever, are now, 6 months later choosing to keep staff working from home because it’s working better for them. It’s knowing that conferences and training can be done virtually rather than bringing people halfway across the world for every session. It’s knowing that everyone does eventually find the unmute button on Zoom calls and that virtual meetings do work.
As the TomorrowToday team reflects on the last 6 months we are grateful that we’re able to continue working with our clients across the globe, doing what we’ve always done (albeit from our green screens and studios at home now), which is to intentionally build the capacity to HELP LEADERS SEE and UNDERSTAND the implications and MEANING OF CHANGE and how best to respond.
In between virtual workshops, keynote presentations and some consulting work, our team have put together an inaugural ‘quarterly publication’ aptly titled ‘Re-Imagine”, and is home to the reflections and stories from our team as we’ve watched the world, as well as our own team, Re-Imagine what ‘normal’ starts to look like. We share what we see is working, what’s not working and what still needs to be done in order to thrive through this disruption and those that are guaranteed to still come our way in the 2020s.
We would love your feedback, and if any of what our team says strikes a chord with you for your own journey and that of your team or organisation then we would love to chat with you to see how, together, we can help you re-imagine the future.
The world has changed – have you?
